Two more powerful engines pair, with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic. Choose from 503 or 523 hp, both delivering 479 pound-feet of torque.
The top-tier powertrain boasts a quarter-mile time of 10.7 seconds at 129 miles per hour, with a top speed of 188 mph. The M3 is equipped with either 18-inch, 19-inch, or 20-inch lightweight forged wheels. You can customize the driving response with the standard M adaptive suspension, which incorporates electronically controlled dampers. Stick with the standard M Compound brakes with black, red, or blue calipers, or upgrade to M Carbon brakes with gold calipers.
Interior Design and Amenities
The M3 offers spacious seating for five and a cargo area measuring 17 cubic feet. Choose from eight shades of Merino leather upholstery including eye-catching two-tone options. The M3 features standard brushed aluminum trim with the option to upgrade to carbon fiber or rhombicle anthracite.
Add available M Carbon Bucket Seats with carbon accents and illuminated M badging, stainless-steel M pedals with rubber treads, or a race-ready sport flat-bottomed steering wheel with red accents.
State-of-the-Art Tech
The new M3 features the new BMW iDrive 8.5 infotainment system. If you add a head-up display to your model, you’ll see navigation directions projected in augmented reality to overlay your view of the road. The curved touchscreen combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen with a 12.3-inch driver data display. The software supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
This sedan also comes with a Harman Kardon stereo system and satellite radio. You can add a wireless charging pad, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and gesture controls for the iDrive platform.
Safety and Driver Assistance
In addition to the latest infotainment features, the M3 is well-equipped with driver assistance tech. Standard features in this category include lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring. Adaptive cruise control is also available.
