If you see an emergency worker on the side of the road such as a police officer, an ambulance driver, or a tow truck driver and they have their emergency flashers on it would be very courteous of you to move over into the other lane or slow down when passing. Not only would this be very courteous of you, it is also the law in all 50 states. If you were unaware that Move Over or Slow Down law existed don’t worry you are not alone. Unfortunately, more than 71% of drivers in the U.S. are not aware that these laws are in effect across the entire nation. Next time that you see emergency workers roadside remember that you must move into the other lane while passing them. If you are unable to do so then you are required by law to slow down to 15 miles below the posted speed limit when passing to increase safety.

Did you know that there are long-term damages to not filling up your gas tank completely? Empty gas tanks can cause big problems, especially during the winter season. Cold temperatures can cause condensation to appear on the sides of an empty gas tank. Eventually, water will flow into the gas and then sink to the bottom. Water will then find its way into the fuel lines, and it’ll freeze up and block gas from flowing to the engine. You managed to save a few bucks, but will now have to pay more in the future.
