Trim Levels
The 2025 BMW 3 Series is available in seven trims: the 330i Sedan, 330i xDrive Sedan, M340i Sedan, M340i xDrive Sedan, M3, M3 Competition Sedan, and M3 Competition xDrive Sedan. LED headlights with cornering lights come standard across all models. The 330i and 330i xDrive models ride on 18-inch V-spoke bicolor Orbit Grey wheels, while M340i variants feature 19-inch M double-spoke wheels with performance tires. M340i models include Shadowline exterior trim with extended elements.
The M3 variants feature an aerodynamic kit with larger air intakes and a rear diffuser, complemented by a carbon fiber roof. Two new paint finishes, Arctic Race Blue Metallic and Vegas Red Metallic, are available across all trims. BMW Individual colors include Frozen Pure Grey Metallic and Frozen Portimao Blue Metallic. The M Sport Package offers optional 19-inch M alloy wheels in a bicolor or Jet Black finish.
Engine
The 330i and 330i xDrive models feature a 2.0-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo I-4 engine generating 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The M340i and M340i xDrive upgrade to a 3.0-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo I-6 engine producing 386 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The M3 models showcase the most powerful options, with the standard M3 delivering 473 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. M3 Competition and M3 Competition xDrive models produce 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from their 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo I-6 engines.
Performance
The 330i has a 0-to-60 mph sprint time of 5.6 seconds, while the 330i xDrive accomplishes this in 5.4 seconds. The M340i reaches 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, with the M340i xDrive improving to 4.1 seconds. The M3 models deliver the most impressive acceleration, with the standard M3 reaching 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and the M3 Competition xDrive achieving it in just 3.4 seconds. The 330i and 330i xDrive models have a top speed of 130 mph, extending to 155 mph with performance tires. All models feature an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission for precise gear changes and optimal performance.
Interior
The BMW curved display combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.9-inch touchscreen display across all models. The 330i and 330i xDrive feature SensaTec upholstery and Ash Grey-Brown high-gloss wood trim. The M340i and M340i xDrive models upgrade to M Sport seats with extended Merino leather. The M3 variants incorporate M Carbon bucket seats with integrated headrests for enhanced support during performance driving.
Safety Features
Active Driving Assistant with forward collision warning and lane departure warning with steering correction are standard safety features across all trims. The M340i, M340i xDrive, and M3 models add Parking Assistant Plus with a surround-view camera. Active blind-spot monitoring and forward collision warning with city collision mitigation enhance safety. All models include eight airbags and have earned a five-star rating in crash tests performed by the New Car Assessment Program.
